In this period, we have been hired to inspect and provide technical reports for over 8.000 elevators and escalators installed in Brazil.
Elevator’s consultancy exists for over 40 years, in Europe as well as USA, where independent enterprises offer accessory to buildings having problems in Vertical Transportation.
Service’s staff is composed by engineers and technicians, from traditional elevator’s producers companies, all of which have over 25 years of experience in elevators and escalators.
In this way, we are able to advise the building in any kind of existing problem. Afonso Gappo, our CEO, is member of the study group for the improvement of Brazilian regulations for vertical transportation.
Service advised the first three buildings with destination control system in Brazil (Linneo de Paula Machado and Bozano Simonsens in Rio e Janeiro, and UniBanco in São Paulo), between 1999 and 2000. Today we have dozens of clients with this control system with the three major suppliers companies.
Towards the goal off introducing new technologies for Vertical Transportation in Brazil, we are deploying the destination control system, working through access cards integrated to the entrance turnstiles in the cities of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo (Morumbi Office Tower and Ed. São Luiz in São Paulo and Ed. Praia do Flamengo in Rio de Janeiro).
We perform a complete and thorough inspection in all the components and equipment in the elevators, providing a detailed technical report of the existing deficiencies in preventive maintenance, repairs and adjustment.
One of the most important items to the proper operation of elevators in commercial buildings is doubtless its performances.
Service makes a complete analysis of each elevator’s performance, with speed’s measure, dwell timing, open door time and assessment of the journey’s quality (acceleration, slowdown, halt and leveling).
The losses due to the likely deficiencies generate queues in the main lobby and loss to the traffic capacity.
Service, after completion of a detailed traffic study comparing regulation requirement with the client needs, offers the most complete bid specification in the market to perform a competition between the major companies.
The specifications seek to meet the best technical specifications as well as the best guarantees for the modernization contract.
We conduct a complete technical and commercial analysis of the proposals, rating them and offering bid assistance to the client. From the negotiation and signature of the contract, to monthly visits keeping track of the elevators installation and final delivery. In this part, we inspect every equipment, measure performances and conduct security tests.
Service Consultancy has over 15 years of experience managing destination control system. Since 1999 we offered consultancy to the first commercial elevators to have this system in Brazil (Miconic 10).
In 2007, Service also advised the first buildings with the compass system in Brazil, with study and traffic calculation and the provision of specifications bid for elevator’s modernization.
Presently, a second generation of equipment with destination control system is arriving in the market, it consists in the integration of the elevator’s calls though the access card at the entrance turnstile.
Currently we have over 20 commercial buildings possessing destination control system with miconic 10, compass and ADC-21.
AThrough studies, analysis and traffic calculation we conduct the elevator’s and escalator’s dimensioning to commercial buildings, shopping centers and other projects.
